Flow Normalisation (qnN)

Convert actual volumetric flow at operating conditions (pressure + temperature) to normalised flow at standard conditions (1.01325 bar, 20°C = 293.15 K).

💡Always compare valve and cylinder flow values at the same reference conditions. The ISO standard reference condition is 101,325 Pa and 293.15 K (20°C). A valve rated at 1600 nl/min at 6 bar delivers much less actual volume per second than at 1 bar.
qnN = qN × (P + 1.01325) / 1.01325 × 293.15 / (T + 273.15)
