Hydraulic Power Unit Sizing
Calculate hydraulic power, motor power requirement and pump speed based on system pressure, flow and efficiency.
Units:
Hydraulic power = pressure × flow. At 200 bar and 100 l/min that is already ~33 kW. Actual motor power is higher due to pump efficiency. Total efficiency η_total = η_volumetric × η_mechanical (typically 78–88%).
P_hyd [kW] = p [bar] × Q [l/min] / 600 | P_motor = P_hyd / (η_vol × η_mech)
